There’s something magnetic about being part of a team and producing good work together. I subscribe to The Tuckman Model of Group Dynamics, and have found many instances when getting a team pulse on organizational maturity helps lift morale & clarify a team’s goals.

My communication style is warm, and I value clarity, kindness, and humor. Here are a few kind things my collaborators & leaders have to say about working with me.

  • Sarah is one of the most caring people (not just designers) you could ask for on a team. She embodies a lot of what a good manager looks like in an IC capacity. She brings teams together (both the design team, and her EPD pods). She loves going deeper on the research and validation side of design. During her time at Mutiny, she worked across a wide range of projects with tons of complexity — from a reimagining of Experience Management (high density) to how we presented AI and recommendations across the product.

  • Sarah is the best kind of human and is a true delight. I will be forever grateful to have worked with her as she is one of my favorite people I got to know in my time at Mailchimp. Her passion for the user brought positivity and realness to our work and she diligently sought opportunities to orient feature development around value for the end user.   • Sarah is a star designer who contributed so much to the Email Editor Team at Mailchimp! She gives engineers a clear creative direction, consults on matters like accessibility and UI design, and elevates the voice of the customer by coordinating user testing experiments. She is a joy to work alongside and a vocal proponent of diversity, healthy working relationships, and cross-functional agile teams.
